Homestay

Homestay

Slogan: Value a family atmosphere

What is homestay? Our company mainly accepts young players for long-term homestays. The homestay will be at the Neumann family home. There will always be a Japanese player at the homestay, so even if you have trouble at first, there will be Japanese people around who can speak German, so there is no need to worry. Also, we can only accept a limited number of homestays per year, so if you are interested, please feel free to contact us as soon as possible.

Homestay placements

The Neumann family home is located in a small village called Merzenich, about 30 minutes from Cologne. The house is three stories tall, with two floors and a basement. The first floor is the living room, and there are living spaces in the basement and second floors. There is a pool in the garden, and many of the athletes go in the pool to cool down after training in the summer. Of course, you can also go in during the day. One room in the basement has strength training equipment, a TV and a sofa, and is a space where the athletes can train or relax. The rooms are basically single or double occupancy, and most of the necessities for life are available in the house.

Homestay lifestyle

The basic lifestyle of the homestay is centered around soccer. After waking up and eating breakfast, each player's lifestyle changes. Some are students and go to school, while others study German, work out, work part-time, or rest for practice and games. It all varies depending on the player.

There is a gym near my house so I can keep fit there.

Practice generally starts in the evening, so you can do things according to your personal goals before then. You will stay with a German family, so you can communicate with native speakers and learn about the culture and language directly.

When there is a birthday or some other special occasion, we all celebrate together as shown in the photo.

I think you will be able to have many experiences that you would rarely have in Japan.

How to spend the lockdown (coronavirus period)

I would like to introduce life during the lockdown in Germany.

Even during the coronavirus lockdown...

Even during the COVID-19 lockdown, we continued to exercise to keep our bodies healthy. In Germany, restrictions only allowed a maximum of two people from two households to meet, but there was no limit on the number of people from one household, so we were in a very advantageous position to follow the rules and play soccer and go jogging together.

Aside from sports, during the COVID-19 period, the players who remained in Germany celebrated New Year's Eve together at home, played board games, etc., and tried to avoid being isolated. In Germany, COVID-19 regulations were strict and there were limitations on what we could do, but we found what we could do and lived ingeniously.
